I decided to give the e.l.f Daily Moisture Stick a shot. The moisture stick is described as a lightweight multi-purpose balm made of a formula containing Grape, Cocoa, Shea, Avocado, Macadamia, Aloe and Chamomile. The stick is 15 g or .53 oz of product. Now when I received the product and went to use it the first time, I couldn't help but note the smell. To me, it smelled like glue; the smell almost put me off of trying the product.
I washed my face and reluctantly, I applied the product which still retained the off putting scent. It also left my face feeling slightly tacky. The first time I applied the product, I decided to not apply any makeup so to see how it made my face feel over time. My fiance noticed the scent about half an hour after application. I didn't appreciate that fact, but as time passed, I felt the tackiness subside and the aroma did fade.
As I've continued to use this product, while I still notice the smell at times when applying, I have also noticed that the moisture stick keeps my cheeks moisturized while not making my T-zone oily, which has been my issue with so many products I've tired. I'm very pleased with the stick over all and I am also happy with the size of the product.
I have also used the stick with my fingers to pat on under my eyes and in the fine lines on my face to freshen up my makeup. This, to me, feels like a bonus use for the product and it's something I'm rather pleased with.
For the regular six dollars the e.l.f moisture stick costs and the way it makes my skin feel, I completely see myself buying this again. It feels light weight on the skin and the scent it does leave can easily be covered or just given some time to fade. A little of this product, I can honestly say, goes a long way!
I really do recommend this product, especially if you have combination skin as the stick will hydrate without adding an oily feel and or look to your skin. Also, if you find your makeup trying to stay in your fine lines this stick doubles as a great little refresher.
I hope you all find this review helpful and have a lot of e.l.f products that I'm going to be covering as I bought two pretty great e.l.f hauls for my Christmas present.
In my next review, look forward to my thoughts on Too Faced bronzer in Snow Bunny.
